Fourth Quarter Enterprises · Engineering Consulting

Signal integrity engineering for high-speed digital boards where failure is not an option.

An independent consultancy delivering pre- and post-layout SI, power integrity, and EMC analysis for aerospace, defense, space, medical, and industrial control programs.

Engineering consulting only. Fourth Quarter Enterprises is not a semiconductor vendor, EDA reseller, contract manufacturer, or certification authority. Final design and qualification remain the customer's responsibility.

What we do

Three practices, one disciplined workflow.

Pre-Layout SI Analysis

Channel budgeting, topology exploration, IBIS/IBIS-AMI modeling, and stackup/impedance planning for DDR4/5, PCIe Gen4/5/6, 100G+ SerDes, and multi-gig Ethernet.

Post-Layout Verification

3D EM extraction, S-parameter analysis, eye and jitter budgeting, crosstalk and return-path review, and compliance sign-off against JEDEC, PCI-SIG, and IEEE masks.

Power Integrity & EMC

PDN impedance targeting, decoupling optimization, plane-resonance analysis, and radiated-emissions risk review for mission-critical hardware.

How we operate

Simulated. Correlated. Documented. No surprises at tape-out.

Rigorous

Every claim is backed by simulation data, budgets with margin, and where possible measurement correlation on real hardware.

Documented

Deliverables are written reports with assumptions, tool versions, and reproducible setups your team can hand to primes or qualification bodies.

Independent

Vendor-neutral. We do not resell silicon, EDA tools, or fabrication. Recommendations serve the mission and the schedule.

Founder, Fourth Quarter Enterprises

“Margin is earned before tape-out. On mission-critical hardware, the eye you measure in the lab is the one you budgeted for on the whiteboard six months earlier.”

Have a high-speed board that has to work the first time?

We accept a limited number of engagements each quarter. Send a note describing the program and interfaces and we'll schedule a scoping call under NDA.
